Opal is the birthstone for October. We sell real opal in Silver and Gold at The Town Jewels. We also sell a very good quality laboratory produced opal which we call 'faux opal'. This gives great opal colouration and opalescence, without the correspondingly high price tag. You may find that a lot of products sold elsewhere have the label 'opal', but in actual fact are man-made. We prefer that you are aware of what you are buying, and are satisfied that you are getting great value for money and beautiful jewellery at the same time. Therefore we always label our opal/faux opal jewellery clearly.
